Children's support worker

Job description

We are currently recruiting residential care worker and Senior support worker for a residential children home for young people with learning disabilities, Autism, Emotional and Behaviour difficulties and challenging behaviour difficulties in our Ilford (Essex) home.

Are you passionate and driven to support both male and female children and young people, age 11-18, in their home and in the community?

The home provides 24hrs care for the children and you would be required to cater for 3-4 young people with their day to day activities.

We are dedicated to ensuring the young people are well safeguarded, so would require a candidate with very good understanding of safeguarding requirements and focused on the welfare of children.

To join this dedicated team, you would need to have:

  • At least 2 year’s experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, Autism, Emotional and Behaviour difficulties and challenging behaviour.
  • Have level 3 QCF qualification in Health and Social Care with Children and Young people
  • Flexible to working various shifts on rota, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in.
  • Passionate and Driven
  • Full drivers licence and be at least 22years of age.

What are the hours, salary and benefits?

  • Full time (40hrs/week), permanent hours
  • £8.00 - £9.00 (Depending on experience and qualification) This rates excludes sleep-in rates.
